I regret that the cruise Carol had planned for Sunday, August 2, has to be pushed back and scaled down. We are thinking of a small Meetzencruizen around Sunday, August 23. Carol was planning a wonderful cruise to the Japanese Gardens that we had so much fun at last year but it just didn't work out. We are now looking to meet closer and go on a smaller backrounds cruise if nothing more than to touch base with everyone and discuss any club business. Please let me know if that date is an...

OK, this will seem a bit nostalgic, perhaps; but I'm waiting for confirmation that Salinas Valley Dodge/Chrysler still would like us to come by for our Meet n Greet on Sunday. I want to honor the invite they extended last fall at the end of our season; and I'm hoping we get a chance to talk in detail about Spring Fever with them as well.

I expect they'll go for the Meet n Greet for sure, so plan on being there around lunch time, since they always like to feed us....

The 5th Annual Diane Herrera Loredo Memorial Blood Drive will be held on April 25th, at the Westridge Shopping Mall (near Wendy's) on Davis Road in Salinas from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Pop Cruise to Baja Cantina - Saturday evening 8/23

Since some of our good friends from the Big Valley will be in town for the MOPAR show - and are graciously staying over for our Beach Party in Salinas - I thought "What the heck! Let's make a weekend of it!"

So....We will be meeting up with them after the MOPAR show - most likely on Dunes Rd off Reservation Rd in Marina, because they are staying at the Best Western there - and finding a creative way to cruise on over to Baja Cantina on Carmel Valley Road for...

Cherries Jubilee - Sept 5th

Although the Cherries Jubilee show runs for the entire weekend, we usually have a good time by going to Custom House Plaza on Friday night and watching the cool cars cruise through. The cruise starts at 5:30. I suggest we just meet there. We can take a nice evening cruise of our own out of town afterwards.

Endless Summer Beach Party in Salinas - Aug 24. 2008

OK, it's official! A nice new venue with a great new sponsor and we're gonna have a PARTY! A Beach Party! So "boogie" on over to Salinas Valley Dodge on Auto Center Circle in Salinas and prepare to show us your best beach party attitude.

This is desgiend to be low-key with an emphasis on fun and games.

There will be hot dogs and hamburgers, cold drinks and other goodies. And course a bunch of raffle prizes!

Ok, this is go. Thanks, Shirley, for setting it up. We will meet in SJB (at the parking lot by the school) by 9 o'clock to start decorating the cars, do the parade AND combine it with the Panoche Valley Cruise after the parade for a great burger lunch in a beautiful country setting.

Check back for departures from Salinas or Castroville.

OK, we're going back to our roots and having a great potluck picnic at Big Sur State Park. Let's leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot in Marina (Reservation Road) at 10 AM; have a liesurely cruise down the coast and set up at our favorite picnic area.
